Report: Government Taking Private Phone Records
According to an article in the UK paper “The Guardian” Cell phone giant Verizon has been ordered to hand over millions of telephone records to the National Security Agency.
In a four paged report published on their website. The Guardian claims that the communications company was required to hand over; phone numbers, times, locations as well as other pertinent information. While there is always some suspicion among American Citizens that this kind of behavior is happening in the government, this report would be the smoking gun to confirm such theories.
The American Civil Liberties Union has already responded, demanding that the program be ended and that the United States Congress launch an investigation into the orders.
“It’s a program in which some untold number of innocent people have been put under the constant surveillance of government agents,”
