The linebacker served 5 years in prison and 5 years of probation before he was exonerated. After his release, Gibson sent Banks a message on Facebook saying “Lets let bygones be bygones.” Banks began working with a PI. Soon a meeting was set up and without knowing she was being recorded, Gibson admitted to lying about the rape.
