SCOTUS Punts on Affirmative Action
After months of deliberation and weeks of Media scrutiny, the United States Supreme Court, by a vote of 7-1 has decided to send the case back to lower court for review.
The decision is already being touted by many as a partial win for Abigail Fischer who sued the University of Texas for discriminating when the school rejected her under what her legal team claims was a race based admissions process.
Affirmative action has been one of the bigger cases that the Supreme Court has been working on as well as the Defense of Marriage Act, and the Voting Rights Act.
