In court Wednesday morning, Hernandez was charged with 5 counts of unlawful weapon possession and the first degree murder of semi-pro football player Odin Llyod. Prosecutors alleged Hernandez:

When a jogger discovered Lloyds “bullet punctured body” on June 17 near his Massachusetts home, police launched a homicide investigation. After several searches of his home, police found footage on a security camera that showed Hernandez coming home with a gun shortly after Odin was allegedly executed and arrested him early Wednesday morning. The Patriots released him shortly after
Michael Fee, Hernandez’s attorney, said in court:
It is at bottom a circumstantial case. It is not a strong case.
Hernandez has pleaded not-guilty to the charges and is currently being denied bail.
