The Shifting Landscape of the War On Drugs

Eric Holder and members of congress are calling on the federal government to lower or eliminate mandatory minimum drug sentences for low-level, nonviolent drug offenses in an effort to curb the War on Drugs.  How instrumental would this policy be in fighting against the War On Drugs which  has cost taxpayers $1 trillion over the last 40 years and led to a disproportionate amount of  African American and Latino men being incarcerated.  We discussed this in detail featuring:

Is The First Amendment Protected On Facebook?

On September 18th, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit ruled that a Facebook “like” is protected speech under the 1st Amendment. During this week’s quickie, our legal correspondent, Ilyssa Fuchs, broke down how our freedom of speech rights are applied on social media platforms and how and why our Facebook ‘Likes’ are protected by the U.S. Constitution.
